As an approved FMCSA ELDT Provider, our theory courses provide the required information for drivers looking to obtain a Class A or Class B commercial driver license (CDL) or upgrade from Class B to A. We also offer courses required for a Hazmat, Passenger, or School Bus Endorsement.
CERTIFICATION PROCESS
- When you take one of our courses, you will find interactive sections, informative videos, check-point questions, and a final quiz.
- You will need to pass the final quiz with an 80% or higher in order to move forward. However, if you fail, you can always retake the course until you pass without extra cost!
- Once you have passed, you will then be entered into the FMCSA / Training Provider Registry (dot.gov) where it will be sent to all Licensing Departments, which may take up to 72 hours on their end.
Note: We only offer theory training for CDLs and endorsements. You must complete your theory and hands-on Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) instruction within 12 months of each class. Find an approved list of BTW providers on the FMCSA site.
COURSES
CDL CLASS A THEORY INSTRUCTION
This course meets the requirements for entry-level driver applicants seeking a Class A CDL.
The curriculum for Class A applicants pertains to combination vehicles (Group B) as defined in § 383.91(a)(1).
This program consists of 25 modules and will take 10-12 hours* to complete.
In addition to the Theory Instruction, BTW (Behind-the-Wheel) Instruction is also a requirement of ELDT and will have to be taken through another registered training provider that offers it.

CDL CLASS B THEORY INSTRUCTION
This course meets the requirements for entry-level driver trainees seeking a Class B CDL.
The curriculum for Class B applicants pertains to heavy straight vehicles (Group B) as defined in § 383.91(a)(2).
This program consists of 25 modules and will take 10-12 hours* to complete.
In addition to the Theory Instruction, BTW (Behind-the-Wheel) Instruction is also a requirement of ELDT and will have to be taken through another registered training provider that offers it.

CDL CLASS B TO A THEORY INSTRUCTION
This curriculum meets the requirements for Class B CDL drivers seeking to upgrade to a Class A CDL.
This program consists of 18 modules and will take 7-10 hours* to complete.
In addition to the Theory Instruction, BTW (Behind-the-Wheel) Instruction is also a requirement of ELDT and will have to be taken through another registered training provider that offers it.

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS ENDORSEMENT
This curriculum meets the requirements for drivers seeking a Hazardous Materials (H) endorsement
to operate CMVs used in the transportation of hazardous materials as defined in § 383.5.
This program consists of 2 training modules and will take about 2-3 hours* to complete.

PASSENGER ENDORSEMENT
This curriculum meets the requirements for drivers seeking a Passenger (P) endorsement.
This course applies to those who expect to operate CMVs in any vehicle group
defined in § 383.91(a)(1)-(3) for which P endorsement is required.
This program consists of 10 modules and will take about 3 hours* to complete.
In addition to the Theory Instruction, BTW (Behind-the-Wheel) Instruction is also a requirement of ELDT and will have to be taken through another registered training provider that offers it.

SCHOOL BUS ENDORSEMENT
This course meets the requirements for anyone seeking a School Bus (S) endorsement.
This curriculum applies to drivers who expect to operate a “school bus” as defined in § 383.5.
This program consists of 9 modules and will take about 3 hours* to complete.
In addition to the Theory Instruction, BTW (Behind-the-Wheel) Instruction is also a requirement of ELDT and will have to be taken through another registered training provider that offers it.

*Time durations are estimates with each module being self-paced. It could take someone more or less time to complete.
